Hamburg-Finkenwerder is on the south bank of the Elbe, looking over the north bank. Crucially, the site is characterised by the Airbus plant based there. The plant premises with the Hamburg-Finkenwerder airfield, as well as numerous suppliers and other companies associated with the aerospace industry, take up a considerable part of the peninsula. In 2012, EUROPA-CENTER acquired the last free plot on the Rüsch peninsula in the immediate vicinity of the Airbus grounds and developed EUROPA-CENTER Finkenwerder there in collaboration with the aircraft manufacturer. A production facility and multi-storey car park was also built right next to it. Initial planning talks are underway for the adjacent plot on the Steendiekkanal in relation to another office building.
